IRFRC 2017 Annual Conference

New Applications of Actuarial Science in Managing Risks Goodwood Park Hotel, Singapore, 29 -30 June 2017

 

The Insurance Risk and Finance Research Centre (IRFRC) at Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, will hold its IRFRC 2017 Annual Conference on 29 -30 June 2017. The conference details and preliminary programme are available at our Conference website.

 

The theme for this year is New Applications of Actuarial Science in Managing Risks. This year’s conference dedicates a half-day programme to report research progress made on the Cyber Risk Management project. We also have several keynote academic speakers including:-

* Professor Duan Jin-Chuan, National University of Singapore

* Professor Marie Kratz, ESSEC Business School

* Professor Johnny Li, University of Waterloo

 

In addition, the Scientific Committee has selected 18 papers for presentation at the conference from our Call for Papers Programme, covering a wide range of topics include longevity risk financing, actuarial science and insurance economics. Please click here for the preliminary programme.

 

This conference is in collaboration with The Geneva Association and is sponsored by SCOR and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries' Actuarial Research Centre. The conference will include both plenary session with invited talks by industry leaders and academic paper presentations.
